Our Story

SEVEN, Psychology at Work
We work with organisations, teams and individuals, to enable positive change with purpose.

SEVEN was established in 2009 by Johanna Fullerton. Her vision was to develop a client-led practice that facilitated real and valuable positive change for organisations and their people. Since then, much has changed at SEVEN – our team has grown, our range of clients has developed and our areas of expertise have broadened – but this client-led ethos has remained the same. Our Business Psychologists are driven by doing what is right for our clients and are passionate about the impact of positive change at work.

Why are we called SEVEN? Just as individual people are shaped by a variety of influences, we have been shaped and influenced by many things.

SEVEN, our name, reflects a number of these psychological, personal and cultural influences, including the seven perspectives of psychology (cognitive, social-culture, biological, evolutionary, humanistic, psychodynamic and behavioral), Steiner’s 7 year cycles of life and the cultural significance of lucky number 7!

Together, these influences continue to inform our approach to working closely with clients to enable positive change for people at work.

SEVEN – PSYCHOLOGY AT WORK.

How we work

We believe in finding out what makes each client tick. We listen. We ask. We keep an open mind. We never assume. We take time to explore what people want to achieve and align our team and approach to their specific organisational, professional or personal goals.

SEVEN focuses on a range of specialist areas of change. Rather than create set services or programmes, we work closely with clients to align our approach to their goals so as to achieve specific and measurable impact. Clients get better outcomes when our work is designed with them and for them.

SEVEN fundamental beliefs influence the work we do. We believe in….

1. PSYCHOLOGY AT WORK

We combine psychological rigor with commercial insight to enable positive change at work for organisations, teams and individuals.

2. BEING INCLUSIVE

We believe in finding out what makes each person tick. We listen. We ask. We keep an open mind. We never assume. We take time to explore what people want to achieve and align our team and approach to their specific organisational, professional or personal goals.

3. THE POWER OF HUMAN CONNECTION

We believe that human connections power positive change and progress. We work closely with the individuals involved in positive change at work. Participants, leadership and management stay connected with us over time to power continued development.

4. POSITIVE ENERGY

We believe that positive energy is essential for real change. Energy engages. Energy moves. Energy needs direction. Energy follows attention. Positive energy is a catalyst to allow the right change to happen.

5. TAKING CARE

We believe that change needs time, structure, consistency and, above all, care. We carefully research, prioritise, plan, test and measure. We help people implement bespoke processes to ensure change continues over time.

6. DOING WHAT’S RIGHT

We believe in doing what is right for people. We speak out. We challenge assumptions. We are not constrained or compromised by selling particular services or products – we simply deliver what the client needs in order to achieve the best outcomes.

7. LOOKING FORWARD

We believe in having a view & leading. Combining the best of our experience and industry research, our ‘SEVENx7 Series’ ensures we offer fresh thinking on issues that matter to people – now and in workplaces of the future.
